The Office of Student Financial Aid administers a program designed to help students meet their college expenses. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships, loans, grants, and employment is available to all students who complete the necessary application process and qualify prior to the established deadline dates.

Welcome

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our website. You will notice that there are a number of changes that are designed to make your visit simple.  We are constantly working to make this site a comprehensive resource where students and parents can receive information regarding SUBR's financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and required processes.  We are dedicated to operating in accordance with state, federal, and university guidelines, as well as those set forth in our Code of Conduct.

The Financial Aid staff is dedicated to helping students in pursuit of their educational goals by providing financial information and services in a professional and individualized manner.  We are enthusiastic about working with you to complete your financial aid application so that your eligibility can be determined and awards can be offered in a timely manner.

To provide our students with the best possible service, each student is assigned to a specific Financial Aid Advisor based on his or her last name. Please refer to our Contact Us page to identify your specific advisor.  The financial aid staff works in partnership with their assigned students to assist them in applying for and securing the financial resources available to finance their educational expenses, provided the student meets all eligibility requirements.

In order to expedite your process, we are asking that you cooperate and adhere to all deadlines.

Please keep in mind that the Financial Aid Office hours are as follows:

Front Desk Hours:  Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Counseling Hours:  Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.   We can also be reached at 225-771-2790 or financialaid@wnqihuo.com .

We look forward to servicing your financial aid needs.

Office of Student Financial Aid

New students entering SU for the new semester can take the first step in applying for financial aid now by obtaining a federal student PIN (and a parent PIN if parental financial information will be provided) at www.pin.ed.gov. The PIN(s) will be used in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. We recommend submitting the FAFSA online by March 31 to ensure consideration for all financial aid programs.

Prospective freshman and transfer students will be considered for available academic scholarships. Preference is given to students admitted by December 1st of the previous year.

In order to receive financial aid, a student must be enrolled, in good standing, and making satisfactory progress toward a degree.
